Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

1. Small Summary
2. Small Characterize of the main characters
3. Fanfictions

It all started with four pet turtles and a canister of alien ooze. When the turtles were accidentally bathed in the strange glowing green slime, they began to grow. To change. To mutate!
Raised in the sewers of New York City by their wise sensei, Master Splinter, a rat, the four mutant turtles were schooled in the ancient martial art of Ninjitsu, mastering skills of stealth, weapons and fighting.

Leonardo! Raphael! Michelangelo! Donatello!

My Fanfictions play more in the TMNT 2003-verse, but that doesn't mean that I sometimes mix things up ;)

CHARACTERS:

Leonardo is more skillful and meditative than in the 1987 TV series (where he was slightly serious, but occasionally did silly things whenever his brothers did) and much more concerned with honor and protecting his family.
Leonardo is everything you’d ever want in a hero and then some. he is dedicated, disciplined and selfless. Leo is a perfectionist with a strong moral sense and maturity far beyond his 15 years. Because of his serious, responsible nature, Leo has become the big brother of the group. Splinters right-hand-turtle and the unofficial leader of the team.
Although, Leonardo's leadership role can sometimes be a cause of friction between him and the other turtles, the truth is that Leo has earned the respect of his brothers. He leads by example; no one works, studies or trains harder than Leonardo does. Leo has demonstrated a definite knack for battle strategizing. As well as keeping a cool, keen head on his shoulders when under attack.

Raphael is much angrier and more emotional. He is the only turtle to be shown crying to date and the most likely to cry out in dismay when a brother is hurt or in danger. He is a cynic and sometimes cocky (in the 1987 show, he loves to make jokes and is more friendly), but is shown to deeply care about and be very protective of his family and friends. He and Michelangelo are always at each other throats, but Raphael is usually the first to leap into action when Mikey is in danger. He always seems to be the one who's got his brothers' backs but seems to have a much less complicated relationship with Leonardo compared to the comic book series, even though they come at odds on occasions.
Hothead is probably the first word that comes to mind when describing Raph. But there’s much more to this opinionated, impulsive, restless ninja turtle than his temper. Raphael is the most assured martial artist of the group. He is a natural born scrapper who loves nothing better than to test himself in battle.
While Leonardo practices his ninja skills in order to continue to grow mentally, physically and spiritually, Raphael trains (like an absolute maniac) for sheer enjoyment. He is usually the first one to leap into a fray, has a perverse love of facing overwhelming odds. And it is nearly impossible to get him to make a strategic retreat. Driven to be the best warrior he can be, Raph is easily the most fearsome and fearless fighter of the group. Raph is the one who stand to resume the battle even though he can rarely keep his legs under him.

Michelangelo is a bit more outrageous and takes the role of the comic relief. He is the most childish of the four, even going so far as to adopt a super-hero persona for himself (Turtle Titan), but is still not an opponent to be trifled with. Through a combination of skill and sheer dumb luck, Michelangelo was crowned the Battle Nexus champion and was able to successfully defend the title despite his flaws, and is, at least until the next tournament, considered the greatest warrior in the multiverse by those in the series (other than his brothers, Draco and the Ultimate Ninja) who took part in the Battle Nexus by virtue of his victory.
Michelangelo is the lighthearted YIN to Raphael's hothead YANG. A born (mutated)(joke Meister, impressionist and class clown. Mikey is a pop culture sponge, soaking up shtick from movies comic books, TV, video games etc.and spewing it back out when you least expect it. Mikey loves to be the center of attention, almost as much as he loves to make everybody laugh.
Of all turtles Michelangelo is the most natural athlete, his innate physical prowess makes up for his less than eager interest in long hard training sessions.

Donatello is still the most intelligent turtle but with a more emotional compassion for humans. When the Turtles pair off, the most likely combinations are Leonardo and Raphael as one pair, and Michelangelo and Donatello as the other - often due to their personalities.
No one’s sure how he does it. (Hey, it’s not like he went to tech school, right?). But Donatello has the uncanny ability to understand how things work. By things I mean anything: computers, robotics, combustion engines, rocket propulsion systems, the light in the fridge, etc. The brainiest turtle of the bunch. Donnie’s just a natural engineer.
Though he tries to be calm and analytical, Don cant hide the fact that he is fascinated by technology to the point of distraction (and geekdom). That is great if you need him to whip up a quick “escape-mobile” out of spare parts. But it’s considerably less great when you need to leap into battle against a horde of alien Triceraton’s and he’s busy admiring their laster blaster instead of kicking Tricera-tush.

Part of Splinter’s charm is that he plays multiple roles in the lives of the turtles. He is venerable and wise scholar as well as a master sensei and martial arts expert. But he is also the "mommy" the turtles have ever known. They have watched him expertly wield many ninja weapons. But they are also seen him wearing an apron. He instructs then in meditation and spiritual pursuits. But he also watches the weekday afternoon TV-talk-shows and soaps.
It takes decades to truly master the way of ninja and his teenage charges still have much to learn. Until splinter is confident that his turtles can handle any situation they might encounter in the world beyond their sewer, he keeps a tight reign on them. He has a healthy fear and keen understanding of what might happen to his boy should they ever be discovered or captured. Splinter is incredibly proud of his sons and all the have learned, but still chooses to keep a very watchful eye when he knows they are roaming around in the outside world.

April O'Neil herself is initially Baxter Stockman's lab assistant and later the owner of an antique shop. She has also been studying Ninjutsu under Splinter and is now capable of holding her own in a fight. She is also a helicopter pilot and has computer skills which she uses to help Donatello.
As part of the turtles support crew or big sister, April O'Neil is their invaluable link to the outside (non-mutated human) world. The turtles may have to stick to the shadows, but April can operate out in the light of the day, providing much needed information and supplies to the turtle team. April also gets to introduce the turtles to things in the outside world that they haven’t yet encountered for themselves (Indian food, drive in movies, etc.) the turtles, in turn, teach and train April in the martial arts. Regardless of who is teaching who, it is always a great adventure, full of new experiences, mutual respect, and lots of laughs. Aprils interest in science has helped her form a special bond with the like-minded Donatello. She is one of their closest friends and fiercest protectors.

When the turtles first met Casey Jones he was a misguided vigilante taking the law into his own hands and dishing out his own brand of swift justice. He was a loose cannon about to blow. Luckily for Casey, he ran into the turtles (via Raphael, with whom he shares an equally hot temper and mutual love of decisive action) before he ran into serious trouble. With the turtles and Aprils friendship and guidance, Casey has become considerably less mental, considerably more housebroken and one of the few human allies that they can rely on no matter what. When suiting up for trouble, Casey often wears his trademark hockey mask and golf bag full of (painful) sports equipment, such as baseball bats, hockey sticks and golf clubs, yelling his strange battle cry "goongala" - hopefully something you’ll never see coming after you.
