Tamara seemed too happy about seeing me, but maybe that is because this little town seems quite boring and Tamara always needs an adrenaline kick.
Hopefully she wasn’t so excited because she wants to tell me about her new case. I mean, damn, I am a fucking paleontologist what does she think I am? I don’t work at the NYPD and even if I wanted to work there I’ll never be able to do so as I have orders not to step into the building. I just have to walk by and the officers give me weird stares, it is so embarrassing.

Oh well, about my room. It is not too big nor too small, I am fine with it. It just seems a little bit stifling but Tamara said the weather would have been sweltry for the last days. I hope we will get some rain. I can’t believe I am writing this down while being in Scotland…

Now I am pretty tired, I have traveled enough for the next two weeks. I’ll write you later, hopefully telling you about the nice weather and interesting men, and I don’t mean interesting in the way Tamara would point it. I definitely don’t mean dead men on a table with obviously too strange wounds which should be the reason to investigate in a case I must not stick my nose into.

I mean, ME, a Sutherland in Scotland, that is like coming back home. No, really, my origins are in the highlands. I am pretty excited about it and can’t believe that she really called me and even pays the flight first class.
I guess she knows about my fear of flying and wanted to make it as comfortable as possible for me, didn’t she?

Yeah, right… Tamara inviting me to Scotland. There IS something suspicious about it. I can’t put my finger on it but I am sure it is about a new strange case. It is always about a new strange case.
So, what should I do now? Should I reject this offer or should I keep being excited about going to Scotland?

I’ll take this risks and travel to Scotland! I mean, it is FIRST class! Right? RIGHT? It would be stupid to refuse.
I’ll just take my holidays a little bit earlier, that is fine, my boss is going crazy at the moment, he has problems with the director, so, it will be good to go away.

P.S.: Please Cross your fingers that it isn’t about a new strange case! Because of her I have an order to stay away from the NYPD. I am not allowed to enter the building anymore…and that really is kind of weird.  Don’t ask, it is embarrassing. Maybe I’ll tell you another time.
